Gonzalo Ocejo is Vice President of Development for Preferred Travel Group, driving new business efforts in Europe for the company’s global travel and hospitality brands including PTG Consulting, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Historic Hotels Worldwide, and Beyond Green. Trilingual in English, Spanish, and Japanese, Gonzalo brings a wealth of experience to the team from his base in Madrid.

Before joining PTG Consulting in 2020, he spent nearly 15 years with LUXE Worldwide Hotels where he most recently served as Vice President of International Development, Sales & Operations. Gonzalo has hosted travel programs on both radio and TV and has been a part-time university professor since 2011, teaching hospitality to undergraduate students at IE University, the top business school in Spain. With two parents as travel agents, Gonzalo developed a passion for travel at a young age, first studying abroad in Japan before holding various jobs in the industry from working as a tour guide in Spain to organizing incentive travel for pharmaceutical companies in the United States, United Kingdom, and Spain. He holds degrees in Political Science and International Relations from Universidad Complutense of Madrid and a master’s degree in Business Administration in Tourism from ICADE University. Gonzalo’s passions are travel, cinema, and his 3-year-old son, Hugo.
